I have used Driver Whiz in the past, and it was time to renew it. I did and I paid my $39.99 for it.

But, in order to activate it, I had to call a certain number...which I did (stupidly!). I talked to this Indian man for about an hour, all the while trying to get off the phone. He wanted access to my computer, and he wanted me to pay him to clean my hard drive. When I laughed and told him, "No Way" he was upset.

He finally agreed to refund $1.99 - a fee I hadn't even paid! Oh, how I wish I could have recorded the conversation! But, now what? Is Driver Whiz going to work?

Should I just remove it from my computer and have the $40 go down the drain?

Please advise. Janet Baker Litchfield, CT

Review about: Driver Whiz Computer Software Upgrade.

Reason of review: Bogus activation.

Monetary Loss: $40.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

I liked: That driver whiz kept my drivers up to date.

I didn't like: That i was connected to a bogus operation that tried to scam me.
